REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST & EXHIBIT 2026-27

The PTA Reflections program is a national arts competition that encourages students to create original art based on a yearly theme. This year’s theme is “Accepting Imperfections.”

K-2nd  - Primary

3rd-5th - Intermediate

6th - Middle School

Dance Choreography / Film Production / Literature / Music Composition / Photography / Visual Arts

Judges are a group of local professional artists and community volunteers. Scores include:

• Interpretation (40pts): How closely the piece relates to the theme, based on the work itself and the artist statement.
• Creativity (30pts): How creative and original the piece is in its conception of the theme and its presentation.
• Technique (30pts): The level of skill demonstrated in the basic principles/techniques of the arts area.

• Award of Excellence: Highest recognition—only one per age group & art discipline. Advances to compete with the area, state, and nation.
• Award of Merit: Honoring outstanding works that receive recognition but do not advance.
• Honorable Mention: Recognizing entries that demonstrate creativity and interpretation of the theme.
